The Finishing Process
Once your floor has been sanded, we provide a range of finishes, including polishes and stains, to protect the wood and make it look beautiful. This requires three coats which are applied over a period of 2 to 3 days, sometimes longer. Each coat is allowed to dry, and then buffed before the following coat is applied. This creates a surface that is properly adhered and smooth to the touch.
Furniture can be moved inside throughout this period; however great care should be taken not to scratch the floors. We recommend using felt pads beneath chair legs and any other parts that make contact with the floor.
